Bright Ideas – Placemats for Differentiation

Placemats for Differentiation

Rachael Potter has created placemats to support students’ understanding of the novel they are currently reading in English. These are placed on each students’ desk at the beginning of each lesson, allowing students to access them whenever they need to. The placemats have reminders of key words, characters and themes, as well as guidance on writing analytical paragraphs, and could be easily adapted for other topics/subjects. The photos show some examples.
