The Genius in All of Us by David Shenk

You would be hard pushed not to read this book and feel wonderfully optimistic about the potential of students and your own potential to improve your lot.  Shenk gives us biology, psychology and genetic research and reveals, via stories, the true origins of genius.  Hard work is at its core together with  environmental experiences.  The myth of genetic inheritance, ‘special gifts’ and raw talent is debunked.  The book provides a fast enjoyable read and complements the findings of Carol Dweck (Mindset).   I would recommend it to all those who seek to learn or to teach with ‘no limits’.
